Mark Carwardine. How to photograph Garden Birds (2023 Bloomsbury Publishing)

With lots of advice from equipment, composition, birds on the ground and in flight and on every page stunning photographs that both inspire and inform in equal measure. Mark covers the key aspects, from composition and exposure to knowing how to prepare your equipment and the place where you are hoping the birds will come to. This a truly excellent masterclass where the skills learned in the garden are just as easily applied beyond the garden.

Paul has a great way of putting things over, interjected with his journey into photography with the National Geographic magazine. The book tells tales of the highs and lows of his profession. A recommended read for any photographer but especially those interested in wildlife photography.
